So, I am gonna move the third times this afternoon. Meanwhile, I have been staying at a friend's house and a friend's friends' apartment... and, I met many new Chinese friends. It's a great opportunity for me to practice my Mandarin. I am really looking forwards to live in my new and huge and close-to-school apartment ---- there's three bedrooms, on-site laundry, air-conditioner...

I remembered learning frantically about chess and Go (Weiqi, 圍棋) last semester, and was gonna write a blog post about it ---- maybe later. I really wanna find someone who could play with me...

Ima be very random here... I have been thinking about getting a new laptop for so long. I have this Dell Inspiron 6400 for almost 5 years now, and I feel it is gonna die soon. The screen is shorta broken; the cable plug does not work so i can only use wi-fi; it has killed three new ac power adapter; it loads forever, and I don't wanna format it again... maybe it's time for me to get a Mac...

I also wanna get the new iPod Touch that might come out in September... TOO MUCH TO SPEND!

Seriously, I don't really abuse my USB flash drive, but I start to feel that it is going to die at any moment. I have "killed" so many USB flash drives, and often wonder, am I using them wrongly?

I often back up my stuff, especially my compositions and school works in multiple hard drives and flash drives and friend's hard drives and flash drives and computers and laptops and servers... I have this annoying anxiety that, one day, they will all go boom (!!!), DIE....... I don't understand how photographers deal with those raw files, and as the pixels get larger, their hard disks get larger (and bigger), their wallets get thinner and their rooms get, relatively, smaller...

I bought a universal laptop adapter today; it's kinda expensive... I think it's the third replacement adapters I bought for this laptop. I like my laptop, but it is probably time to get a new one...

I saw Bernstein's complete Mahler DVD today and almost bought it. It's cheap! I have all the CDs, but I'd love to watch it. Bernstein always has some very interesting things to say. His conducting is famine, and utterly exaggerating. I like his passion, his spontaneity.

My desktop's hard disk died yesterday; now my laptop's AC adapter is dead... I will have no access to computer, again... I am just really bad luck with computer...

I conducted Viola Yip's White tonight; it was fun. I think at one point, I almost threw my baton.
