Don't Look for cello and piano (2018)
Don’t Look is written for a premiere in the SOUND-IMAGination: Hong Kong Culture project in the Hong Kong Centre Cinema, as one of the commissioned pieces by the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild. It is composed to accompany a video with the same title “Don’t Look” that showcases a combination of existing structures with ongoing constructions in the city of Hong Kong. The music seeks to highlight atmospherically the overlaying contrast of the cityscape images in the video, as well as poses a doubt and an unanswered question of whether the never-ending construction should go forward or not.
