Double Waves for flute, cello and piano (2016)

​The word “waves” can refer to water waves, air waves, sonic waves, and many others. In general, it describes a force that is triggered by nature, a force that can carry an element with momentum. This piece, “Double Waves”, takes this inspiration and maintains an ongoing energy with non-stop actions from the instruments. Sometimes, the waves collide and go in harmony; other times, they conflict and go in opposite directions, hence “double waves”.
