Sense and Sensation

You see black in a completely dark room. You can locate your eyesight, and you know the directions that you are looking at. But, if you close your eyes, you see nothing --- no color, no shape, no direction, no sense of seeing... There is a huge difference.

You can't do that with your ears. Even if you block all the sounds, you hear silence. You can never shut it off. Silence is a sound, just like black is a color.
